Assistant Accountant | £35.5k-37.5k | Leeds | Full-time | Permanent | Hybrid/ Flexible Working

Your new roleThis role sits within a public sector organisation which is looking for an individual to:

  • Deliver short- and medium-term budgeting services with detailed forecasting to support strategic decisions.
  • Provide financial and commercial advice to senior leadership.
  • Develop financial models aligned with organisational objectives and strategies.
  • Prepare forecasts, budgets, and financial reports in line with regulations.
  • Produce written financial analysis for leadership and budget holders.
  • Support ad hoc projects and assist the Finance Director.

What you'll need to succeed

  • AAT qualification.
  • Strong technical accounting and Excel skills.
  • Experience in financial planning, forecasting, and budget control.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and influencing skills.
  • Attention to detail with the ability to work tactically.
