About the Role:We are seeking an ambitious and detail-oriented Graduate Assistant Accountant with a background in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) to join our dynamic finance team. The successful candidate will play a critical role in assisting with financial operations, reporting, and analysis while showcasing their ability to work effectively in a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in preparing financial statements, reports, and reconciliations.
  • Support month-end and year-end accounting processes.
  • Work closely with the finance team to analyse budgets and forecasts.
  • Collaborate on projects requiring cross-departmental teamwork and engagement.
  • Ensure data accuracy and adherence to company policies and compliance standards.
  • Contribute to financial audits and other compliance-based initiatives.

  • Build strong internal and external stakeholder relationships to support the finance function.

Key Skills & Experience Required:

  • A degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) or Finance.
  • Exposure to accounting or financial principles (via coursework, internships, or other relevant experience).
  • Demonstrated experience working in a team - either through team sports, group projects, or extracurricular activities outside of work.
  • A keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • An interest in professional development within accounting (e.g., pursuing a formal accountancy qualification such as ACCA/CIMA in the future).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with other financial systems and tools is a plus.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within a hybrid setting.
