Role Objective:
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be instrumental in servicing and maintaining a diverse range of personal safety equipment and fixed gas detection systems. Your expertise will ensure compliance, reliability, and user confidence across client sites. This role can be based in Yorkshire or Northamptonshire.
Key Responsibilities of a Field Service Engineer:
- Service and maintenance of portable gas detectors, SCBA, Escape Breathing apparatus, and fall arrest and lifting equipment.
- Set up and commissioning of new gas detection systems.
- Building trust-based relationships with clients and identifying additional safety equipment needs.
- Ensuring customer satisfaction to drive repeat business.
- Completing all relevant paperwork and updating the CRM database.
- Providing vital data for management reporting and supporting the workshop as needed.
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years proven engineering experience as a Field Service Engineer or a Static Engineer/ Technician, ideally within the safety equipment industry.
- Background in utilities, engineering, or construction sectors preferred.
- Knowledge of fixed gas detection systems is desirable but not essential.
- Demonstrated experience in fault-finding and effective decision-making.
