We're recruiting for a Billing Manager to join a global, fast-moving professional services firm with a strong reputation for innovation and internal progression. This is a high-profile, business-facing role where you'll work closely with legal teams, client partners, finance, and international operations to ensure the billing function runs smoothly and delivers an outstanding service.

You’ll oversee a team of circa 15, including two experienced Team Leaders, and will play a key role in coaching, process improvement, and wider project work across the billing and revenue cycle.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Managing the Billing and Revenue Team across billing and revenue coordination with two direct reports
  • Acting as the businesses subject matter expert on billing, advising internal teams and ensuring compliance with client protocols
  • Taking ownership of billing processes for centrally managed clients, ensuring timeliness, accuracy, and alignment with agreed service levels
  • Partnering closely with legal teams, client partners, international operations, and e-billing specialists to ensure a seamless billing lifecycle
  • Monitoring team performance and service delivery, supporting ongoing development through coaching, mentoring, and carrying out regular reviews
  • Driving improvements in process efficiency, automation, and system use - helping reduce manual processes and improving accuracy
  • Identifying and resolving billing issues, managing escalations, and tracking rejection trends with a focus on long-term solutions
  • Leading internal and external billing-related meetings and supporting the onboarding of new clients from a revenue standpoint
  • Helping develop and refining client billing processes, ensuring they’re up to date, shared, and followed by the wider team

What we’re looking for:

  • Previous experience managing billing or credit teams ideally within a professional services or similar service led environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of billing and revenue cycles
  • A confident people leader with the ability to support and develop team leaders and junior staff
  • Proactive communicator with strong stakeholder management skills
  • Commercially aware, detail-focused, and highly organised
  • Familiarity with billing or finance systems
