This business is a market leading business with Head Offices based in Central Leeds. The company have continued to expand significantly in 2024 and as a result of this continued growth, they are now looking to recruit a graduate level Accounts Assistant to join their finance team.The role would be a perfect as an entry level opportunity for a bright Graduate looking to join a business where they can thrive and genuinely fast track their finance career. The role offers an opportunity to gain valuable work experience whilst studying towards a professional qualification.The Job:
  • Weekly and monthly reconciliation
  • Accruals, prepayments
  • Reporting creditors and debtors
  • Reconciling income and cash
  • Attending weekly and monthly client meetings
  • Prepare payment runs
  • Investigating of unreconciled items
  • Ensuring internal and external queries are resolved in a timely manner
  • Review bank accounts
  • Month end reporting
  • Support the Audit process
  • Deal with queries
  • Support the wider finance team
Key skills:
  • Recent Accounting and finance, economics or mathematics graduate - minimum 2.1
  • Strong academics
  • Finance experience would be beneficial
  • Have strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Have strong attention to detail.
  • Confident in a fast paced and deadline driven environment
  • Be able to communicate at all levels and be able to liaise with managers and clients.
  • Be able to prioritise your own workload to meet deadlines.
  • Be highly motivated and have a 'can do'/hands on attitude.
  • Have strong IT skills.
  • Excel – pivot tables and v look ups
