This role is a permanent role initially covering maternity leave but offers career growth within a professional, client-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and process client payrolls, including CIS (Construction Industry Scheme) returns, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Maintain precise and up-to-date bookkeeping records, including prime entry and ledger management.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns in accordance with HMRC deadlines and regulations.
  • Liaise directly with clients to address payroll and bookkeeping queries, providing expert advice and support.
  • Ensure full compliance with HMRC regulations, deadlines, and confidentiality standards.
  • Support ad hoc financial duties as required, contributing to the smooth delivery of accounting services.


Essential Experience & Skills

  • Proven practice experience in payroll management, bookkeeping, VAT preparation, and CIS compliance.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, managing multiple client accounts efficiently.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a professional approach to client interaction.
