An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Building Manager to take on the day-to-day operational management of a prestigious, multi-let office building in Central Leeds, directly supporting a private landlord. This trophy asset is home to high-profile occupiers and requires a dedicated professional who excels in tenant engagement, soft service delivery, and proactive building management.
Working closely with a Regional Facilities Manager and M&E Contract Manager, you will be supported by an experienced team to help ensure the smooth, compliant, and high-quality operation of this landmark property.

Key Responsibilities
Operations & Compliance

Oversee the day-to-day running of the building in accordance with health and safety, environmental and company policies, and legislative requirements.

Maintain all statutory compliance including risk management, insurance inspections, and site documentation.

Ensure emergency procedures and crisis management plans are up to date and regularly tested.

Manage contractors and ensure procurement follows internal policy.
Tenant Engagement & Customer Service

Build and maintain strong relationships with occupiers, ensuring exceptional service delivery and responsive support to operational needs.

Lead on occupier communication and engagement, attending tenant meetings and responding proactively to feedback.
Soft Services & Maintenance

Ensure the building fabric and communal areas are maintained to the highest standard, in line with agreed budgets and service levels.

Monitor and review cleaning, security, reception and other soft service contracts to ensure performance is consistent with contract KPIs.
Commercial & Reporting

Assist with management of budget financial reporting for the asset.

Compile management reports as required and maintain accurate site records including asset registers and maintenance logs.
Essential:

Prior experience in a facilities management role

Good understanding of soft service delivery and contractor management.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a passion for customer service.

Sound knowledge of health & safety and statutory compliance.

Self-motivated, organised, and able to work independently.

Proficient with IT systems and facilities management software.
Desirable:

IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent H&S qualification).

Knowledge of mechanical & electrical systems and plant.
