The successful Estates Manager you will take ownership of the day-to-day management, maintenance, and development of our manufacturing site and facilities. This is a hands-on role that blends technical know-how with leadership—perfect for someone who’s happy rolling up their sleeves and getting stuck in. You’ll be responsible for minor electric, mechanical and joinery work.

Roles & Responsibilities
• Oversee contractors for larger-scale maintenance and compliance-related works.
• Ensure the site complies with relevant health & safety, environmental, and legal standards.
• Maintain preventative maintenance schedules.
• Manage budgets for facilities-related work and keep accurate records.
• Support continuous improvement projects related to site infrastructure and equipment.
• Carry out hands-on maintenance, repairs, and minor installation work (electrical, mechanical, and joinery).
• Manage all site facilities including buildings, equipment, utilities, and services.
• Act as the point of contact for emergency repairs and urgent maintenance needs.

The ideal candidate
• Proven experience in a facilities management role, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Strong practical skills in electrical, mechanical, and general maintenance (joinery skills a bonus).
• Good knowledge of building services and statutory compliance (e.g., fire systems, HVAC, water hygiene).
• Experience managing contractors and service providers on-site.
• Organised, reliable, and able to prioritise tasks in a busy, fast-moving environment.
