We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations. This role requires excellent driving skills, a strong understanding of delivery protocols, and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and team members.
Duties
- Safely operate a delivery vehicle to transport goods to designated locations.
- Ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
- Conduct pre-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
- Load and unload goods, which may involve heavy lifting and manual handling.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any discrepancies or issues encountered during transit.
- Communicate with warehouse staff and management regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing any inquiries or concerns from recipients upon delivery.
Qualifications
- Previous experience as a delivery driver is preferred.
- Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record; experience driving a commercial vehicle is an advantage.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations is beneficial.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading processes.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
