Class 2 Driver

Tailored Recruitment Partnersare working with a leading Distribution business in Leeds to recruit a Class 2 Driver on a permanent basis.

The Job

They company are looking for conscientious Class 2 Delivery Drivers, to work in a busy expanding wholesale warehouse in the meat industry.

Role to include delivering to customers, order picking, stock replenishment.

Overall responsibilities

Ensuring goods are safely secured and the chill chain is maintained.

Ensuring consignment material is completed correctly and that the appropriate information is collected from customers if a returns procedure is implemented.

Properly securing and documenting cash/cheque payments given by customers.

Keeping your vehicle in good condition and notifying your manager of any vehicle related problems.

Cleaning and refuelling your vehicle after your deliveries.

Maintaining good personal hygiene.

What is expected of me:

You will need to be physically fit for this position as heavy lifting is involved.

You will need to handle raw produce.

You must hold a clean and valid Class 2 driving licence.

You must be able to carry out safe parking and unloading practices.

You will be comfortable with manual handling, heavy lifting and driving to different destinations via different routes.

You must be trustworthy and responsible as you are driving company property and carrying valuable goods as well as the potential to have access to large quantities of cash provided by customers.

Salary 16ph + attendance allowance

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: 16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
