Our independent pub clients are looking to recruit a head chef for this faced paced very well known gastro pub kitchen in Leeds city centre, an ideal platform to really establish yourself on the Leeds dining scene, this job will look great on any CV


Head Chef Job Description

The Head Chef is responsible for the overall kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management. The ideal candidate will have a strong culinary background and experience in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen.



Responsibilities:



  • Develop and execute menus that meet the needs of the restaurant's customers

  • Manage the kitchen staff, including hiring, training, and scheduling

  • Ensure that all food is prepared according to health and safety standards

  • Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment

  • Work with the restaurant's management team to ensure that the kitchen is operating efficiently



Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of experience as a Chef in a fast-paced, high-volume kitchen

  • Experience in Menu planning for the main menu and smaller pop up events

  • Strong leadership and management skills

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Knowledge of food safety compliance and latest allergen regulations

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
