Sonic Summary
- Our client, an international engineering business, is seeking to appoint an Applications Engineer for their Leeds office.
- This office-based position involves engineering new contracts and supporting the worldwide Sales team with technical advice, along with providing after-sales support to customers.
- The role is suitable for a Design Engineer or Mechanical Engineer looking for a new opportunity, as well as existing Applications Engineers.
- Candidates should have an HNC/HND in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and experience with 2D and 3D CAD software such as AutoCAD, Inventor, or SolidWorks.
- The salary for this position is competitive, and candidates should ideally have a few years of relevant experience.
You will also provide after sales support to customers on wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics and fault diagnosis if problems appear. This role would suit a Design Engineer or Mechanical Engineer looking for a new opportunity as much as an existing Applications Engineer.
Applications Engineer - Role and Responsibilities
 - Create GA drawings, wiring/hydraulic schematics and BOMs
 - Review customer specifications and handle customer / sub contractor / supplier queries
 - Assist Sales with quoting on special requirements
 - Liaise with prodcution engineering to improve shop floor efficiency
Applications Engineer - Candidate Profile
 - HNC/HND in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
 - Experienced with 2D and 3D CAD - AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks, SolidEdge or equivalent
 - High attention to detail with a methodical approach to fault finding
 - Good Communication Skills with customers and suppliers
