As a Business Development Manager specializing in media and networking events, your primary responsibility will be to identify new business opportunities, build lasting relationships with clients, and ensure the successful execution of high-profile events. You will work closely with our marketing, sales, and event management teams to create tailored event experiences that exceed client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Business Development: Proactively identify new business opportunities and potential clients within the media and networking event space.

  • Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, partners, and clients.

  • Event Strategy & Planning: Collaborate with the event team to design and implement networking events, conferences, and media-related gatherings.

  • Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitors, and potential new opportunities in the media and events sector.

  • Sales & Negotiations: Lead the negotiation of contracts and agreements, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for clients and the company.

  • Networking: Represent the company at key industry events, conferences, and trade shows to expand the business network and generate new leads.

  • Revenue Growth: Drive revenue through event sponsorships, ticket sales, and other monetization strategies.

  • Reporting: Track and report on business development activities, progress against targets, and event performance metrics.

Profile

  • roven experience as a Business Development Manager, Account Manager, or similar role in the media, events, or networking industries.

  • Strong understanding of the media and events landscape, including trends, audience preferences, and emerging technologies.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, stakeholders, and partners.

  • Self-starter with a strong drive to achieve targets and exceed expectations.

  • Experience in event planning, sponsorships, and sales within the media and networking sectors is a plus.
