Hybrid working: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and commercially astute National Account Manager to lead the growth and development of a portfolio of key accounts within period and continence care categories. You will play a pivotal role in driving revenue, identifying growth opportunities, and strengthening client relationships across major UK Grocery and High Street retailers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of your account portfolio, delivering against annual budget targets and building tailored strategies for growth
  • Conduct range reviews and analyse customer data to maximise sales performance
  • Identify and secure new business through product extensions, gap-filling, and competitive targeting
  • Present market insights, trends, and focus group outcomes to influence customer decision-making
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure high levels of customer service and swift resolution of any issues
  • Act as a product expert in absorbent consumables, able to confidently explain product construction and usage
  • Drive innovation through value engineering and work closely with procurement and technical teams to bring improvements to market
  • Proactively target new accounts and unlock further growth opportunities

Essential Skills & Experience

  • 3 years + of National Account Management experience in the FMCG industry
  • Proven success managing large accounts within UK Grocery or High Street retail
  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse and act on data and trends
  • Highly proficient in Excel and confident working with financial metrics (margins, YoY comparisons, percentages)
  • Skilled negotiator with a passion for new business development
  • Ability to manage complex, multi-million-pound tenders
  • Positive, resilient, detail-oriented and self-motivated

Desirable

  • Experience in both own label and branded product management
  • Knowledge of absorbent products and/or Health & Beauty categories
