The Role:
As a Principal or Associate Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in managing and leading a small team of skilled engineers. You will take charge of overseeing civil engineering projects from start to finish, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. Alongside technical management, you will also contribute to the business's development by fostering client relationships and identifying new opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:
路Lead and manage a small team of civil engineers, providing mentorship and guidance.
路Oversee a variety of civil engineering projects, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and in accordance with industry standards.
路Manage client relationships, acting as the key point of contact and maintaining strong, professional relationships.
路Provide technical expertise in civil engineering design, including highways, drainage, and infrastructure projects.
路Contribute to business development by identifying potential new projects and assisting in bids and tenders.
路Ensure projects adhere to health and safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies.
路Manage budgets, timelines, and resources effectively across multiple projects.
路Attend client meetings, site visits, and liaise with local authorities as required.
路Assist in the growth and development of the civil engineering department by leading on key projects and developing new client relationships.
Skills and Experience Required:
路8+ years of experience in civil engineering, with ideally at least 3 years in a management or leadership role Senior/Principal role.
路Proven track record in managing civil engineering projects, including highways, drainage, and infrastructure design.
路Chartered Engineer status (ICE or equivalent) or working towards chartership.
路Strong knowledge of relevant software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MicroDrainage.
路Excellent leadership and team management skills, with experience mentoring junior engineers.
路Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver them to a high standard.
路Strong communication skills, with experience in client-facing roles.
路Full UK driving license is essential.
