The Project

As a highly experienced Electrical Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role within the senior management team, overseeing the electrical packages on new education developments, banking/retail schemes, and a range of small to medium-sized construction projects. You will be responsible for ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety and quality. This role will also involve leading on-site teams, coordinating with subcontractors, and maintaining strong communication with clients to ensure expectations are met and relationships are managed professionally throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

For this role it is essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;

  • SMSTS
  • First Aid
  • Valid CSCS / JIB / ECS Card

It is also essential that you hold the experience below;

  • Demonstrated experience in managing electrical packages across education, banking, and a range of key sector projects
  • At least three years' experience as an Electrical Project Manager or in a comparable role with a reputable contractor or subcontractor

Duties

  • Client Management
  • Conduction of audits
  • Oversee daily electrical operations
  • Offer specialised electrical expertise
  • Direct liaison with other subcontractors
  • Resolve challenges that could affect project timelines
  • Conduct thorough project assessments and analyses
  • Monitor project spending to maintain budget alignment
  • Oversee and coordinate electrical works on multiple jobs
  • Maintain and enforce health and safety standards on-site
  • Working closely and directly reporting to Managing Director
  • Work closely with head office to appoint quality subcontractors
  • Identify potential risks and develop strategies to minimise them
  • Monitor project timelines and ensure adherence to the schedule
  • Respond to client concerns and issues swiftly and professionally
  • Identify and allocate necessary resources, including staff, equipment, and materials
  • Collaborate with procurement to ensure the on-time delivery of materials and equipment
  • Provide regular project updates and progress reports to clients, management, and other stakeholders
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
  • Set and maintain quality control standards to ensure project deliverables meet the defined requirements
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including plans, schedules, budgets, and reports
