Our client is a successful M&E contractor, with 4 offices in the UK - this role will be based from their Leeds office. They are seeking a skilled Mechanical Project Manager to join their operational team to help further grow their Leeds division & work on new-build projects such as custodial & healthcare schemes. This role will initially require working away in the South Midlands for an initial 12-15 month project - travel & lodge will be covered.
The Role and its Responsibilities
The Mechanical Project Manager will be responsible for managing the mechanical installation of projects from 'cradle to grave' & will be client-facing and initially site-based.
The Individual
The successful candidate will be a seasoned Mechanical Project Manager with experience managing large projects - circa £5 million mechanical value. The successful candidate must be capable of demonstrating strong client-facing skills, excellent commercial awareness, and the ability to manage a project from 'cradle to grave'.
Skills and Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager, preferably on new build/refurbishment projects from 'cradle to grave'.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, some electrical awareness is also advantageous
- Excellent client management and communication skills, with the ability to foster strong client relationships.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to manage project budgets effectively.
- Ability to demonstrate a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
- Computer literate
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
