Working for a well-renowned Consultancy, you will be based in Leeds, most of your time will be site based where you will be part of our client's ground investigation team. Your coverage will mostly be the North as you form part of their national offering providing geotechnical and geo-environmental services to both private and public sector clients. There is a wide sector coverage from nuclear, utilities and water, MOD sites and general construction.

The role will see you managing geotechnical and geo-environmental ground investigations including supervision of site works including borehole drilling, sampling, groundwater and ground gas monitoring, and logging of soil and rock to BS5930. As you are part of a much larger team, this Consultancy will offer mentoring and tailor your training to ensure you follow the career path in order to achieve your goals.

Skills: Ideally you will hold an earth sciences degree, in geology or similar. Most of your time will be spent on site often within 1-2 hours of the Leeds office however as they have a national presence, with 5 offices nationwide, you may occasionally be asked to go further afield with overnight stays. Your report writing and communication should be excellent and you should have a full understanding of site HSE as applicable to ground investigation. As this role is a senior one, you will also be expected to manage site works across the differing sectors they cover.

About you: CSCS card relevant to your role, SMSTS training and CAT and GENNY trained. Ideally you will have utilised Openground suite of software and have the ability to attain SC Clearance. A commercial awareness would also be advantageous where you will understand project finances and forecasts.
