Senior Cloud Engineer Responsibilities
- Architect, build, and maintain secure and scalable cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS or GCP
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform
- Support CI/CD processes using platforms like Azure DevOps, Jenkins or GitHub Actions
- Design solutions that bridge traditional infrastructure and modern DevOps practices
- Develop tooling and automation using Python, Go, JavaScript, or similar languages
- Collaborate with software engineers, architects, and delivery teams to ensure smooth deployment and operations
- Contribute to container orchestration solutions using Kubernetes or ECS
- Lead technical discussions with stakeholders and provide expert input on cloud architecture decisions
- Identify and resolve infrastructure issues using a systematic debugging approach
- Maintain high standards of cloud security, compliance and documentation
Senior Cloud Engineer Requirements
- Extensive experience in a cloud engineering or DevOps role, ideally in consultancy or fast-paced environments
- Deep understanding of at least one cloud platform (Azure, AWS or GCP)
- Proficient with Infrastructure as Code, especially Terraform
- Experience with CI/CD tooling (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Azure DevOps)
- Competence in a modern programming language such as Python, Go or JavaScript
- Strong grasp of networking, cloud security and distributed system architecture
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes or similar container orchestration platforms
- Ability to work in agile teams and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Comfortable navigating complexity and ambiguity in delivery environments
