As a Manufacturing Sales Engineer you will be required to:
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers
- Understand customer requirements and translate them into manufacturable solutions
- Prepare and deliver tailored technical presentations and proposals
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure feasibility and cost-effectiveness
- Identify new business opportunities and support strategic growth initiatives
- Provide accurate quotations and lead negotiations to contract closure
- Stay current with industry trends, materials, and machining technologies
- Represent the company at trade shows, industry events, and client meetings
Candidate:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales or engineering within the machining or CNC manufacturing industry
- Strong technical knowledge of CNC machining processes, materials, and tolerances
- Proven track record of successful sales and customer relationship management
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Proficiency in CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Engineering degree or equivalent technical qualification preferred
- Experience in aerospace, oil & gas, or defence sectors (preferred)
- Familiarity with ISO standards and quality assurance processes
- Self-starter with a proactive approach to business development
- Willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally internationally
