The Project
As an experienced Joinery Supervisor with the initial opportunity to progress into a Site Manager position, you will play a key role overseeing all joinery-related activities on various residential, commercial and education projects across Leeds and Bradford. You will be operating on tools whilst supervising joinery teams promptly, managing daily operations to maintain efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines.
Requirements
For this role it is desirable but not essential that you carry the following professional qualifications as a minimum;
- SSSTS
- CSCS Card
It is also essential that you hold the experience below;
- Proven industry expertise with a track record of successfully supervising joinery works across various residential, commercial and education projects
- Extensive background within the industry with at least 2 years of experience working in a Joinery Supervisor position or similar

- Competent in maintaining accurate documentation of work progress, labor, and materials, and reporting to senior management

Duties
- Report and communicate regularly to the Head of Joinery
- Participate in site meetings and deliver regular progress reports
- Promptly report any issues, delays, or scope changes to senior management
- Oversee and coordinate day-to-day joinery operations on across various sites
- Assist in preparing handover documentation and as-built drawings if necessary
- Maintain accurate records of completed work, labour hours, and material consumption
- Carry out risk assessments and promote adherence to safe working practices throughout the site
- Implement and uphold health and safety regulations across the site to ensure a safe working environment
- Collaborate closely with Site Managers, Architects, and other trades to effectively coordinate joinery operations
- Ensure that tasks are carried out efficiently, safely, and in alignment with project timelines, quality standards and site requirements
- Track progress of joinery activities and proactively adjust work schedules, maintaining productivity and meeting project deadlines
- Supervise, and coordinate the activities of joiners, apprentices, and subcontractors overseeing efficient workflow and high-quality workmanship
- Assign tasks and delegate responsibilities effectively to optimise team performance and ensure smooth, efficient execution of joinery works
- Deliver hands-on training, mentorship, and ongoing support to team members to enhance their skills to a high-quality standard
- Conduct thorough inspections of completed joinery work to ensure accuracy, high-quality finishes, and full compliance with design specifications and drawings
- Troubleshoot and resolve challenges involving craftsmanship, materials, or building methods to maintain quality and project standards
- Guarantee that snagging and finishing operations are performed in strict accordance with established quality and precision standards
