Estimator

Thrive Personnel Services are recruiting for an Estimator to join our clients busy production team in Leeds.

Responsibilities:

Review project plans, specifications, and other documentation to understand the scope of work.

Identify and quantify all materials, labor, and equipment required for each project.

Obtain quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.

Prepare detailed cost estimates using company software and tools.

Present estimates to the sales team and management for review and approval.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date cost data

Assist with value engineering and cost reduction efforts.

Follow up on submitted estimates and track success rates.

Stay informed about industry trends, new products, and competitive pricing.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in estimating, preferably in the fire door or construction industry.

Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, materials, and construction methods.

Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, specifications, and other technical documents.

Excellent math and analytical skills.

Ability to use estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Detail-oriented and organized.
