I'm looking for a Data Engineer with Snowflake experience to join a global business who are embarking on a greenfield project to build a brand-new Snowflake Data Warehouse. They are building a modern, AI-ready data platform, which allows for better decision-making for both themselves and their customers, with a tech stack including Snowflake, dbt, Microsoft Azure and Power BI.

You'll join their newly established Data Team, based in their modern office space in Leeds - you'll spend at least 3 days per week in the office to collaborate with your team, in what's a very fast-paced, forward-thinking and entrepreneurial environment.

The purpose of this role is to build and maintain the data architecture that supports various business intelligence initiatives. This will include designing and managing Snowflake data pipelines, ensuring data flows seamlessly from multiple sources into the data platform. You'll also work with Data Analysts to support their data needs and optimise semantic models for Snowflake-based reporting and analytics.

More generally, you'll implement governance policies and ensure data security across the Snowflake platform, and will also maintain the performance of systems to ensure scalability and reliability.

This role would be well-suited to an experienced Data Engineer or Developer who is excited by the prospect of building something from the ground-up using cutting-edge technologies!

Requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake, including building and maintaining data pipelines and data models
  • Experience working with both structured and unstructured data sets in Snowflake
  • Knowledge of data governance, security and best-practice for Snowflake
  • Experience working in an Azure environment
  • Certifications in Snowflake and Power BI are advantageous but not essential
  • Excellent communication and ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels

Benefits:

  • Salary up to £120,000 depending on level of experience - able to consider candidates at different levels of seniority
  • Discretionary bonus
  • Pension with 4% employer contribution
  • 25 days annual leave (increasing with service) plus bank holidays
  • Holiday purchase scheme
  • Electric or hybrid car scheme
