Start: September 2025 - End: July 2026 (with potential for a permanent position)
Location: Kirkstall, Leeds
Salary: From £90 - £110 per day.

Are you a nurturing, enthusiastic individual with a passion for early years education? PK Education are working with a wonderful, 1-form-entry primary school in the heart of Kirkstall to recruit a Reception Teaching Assistant for a long-term, full-time role starting this September.

Your Role:

• Support Reception pupils as they start their school journey
• Deliver phonics interventions and small group learning activities
• Encourage outdoor and provision-based play and exploration
• Offer general classroom support alongside the class teacher
• Provide some 1:1 and small group SEND support, particularly for pupils with Autism and delayed communication & language needs
• Help with social development and personal care when needed

Requirements:

• Experience working with EYFS pupils (school or nursery setting)
• Some understanding of SEND, particularly Autism and speech & language delays
• A calm, encouraging, and engaging approach to supporting young learners
• Willingness to support with personal care routines and hygiene
• A DBS on the update service (or willing to apply for one)
