Electrical Controls Engineer – West Yorkshire – Permanent - £45-55k + 25 days holiday + private medical insurance + hybrid

Samuel Frank is recruiting for an Electrical Controls Engineer for a specialist engineering company with a base on the outskirts of Leeds.

The company operates in a niche market and have a successful track record of designing and building bespoke, one-off pieces of equipment for their customers.

Key aspects of the Electrical Controls Engineer opportunity include;

  • Experience of designing and producing electrical drawings for control systems (AutoCAD Electrical or AutoCAD)
  • Oversee the design and delivery of all work related to the electrical control and automation
  • Electrical Controls Engineer will take full responsibility for the selection and procurement of all control-related hardware and components
  • The company is open to training the successful Electrical Controls Engineer in writing PLC software programs
  • The Electrical Controls Engineer role will be working in the refrigeration sector, no previous experience is required of working in the refrigeration industry though!
  • Provide technical support and assistance to onsite engineers and end users
  • Put together quotations
  • Demonstrate excellent customer-facing skills and represent the organisation at external project meetings
  • The position will be split roughly 80/20 between the office and out on customer sites
  • Overtime will be paid at single time for hours worked over when working on site
  • The working hours are 8.30am - 5pm Monday to Thursday and 8.30am – 4.30pm on Fridays, when you’re not out on site, you’ll be working either in the office or on the shopfloor. They’ll also be an option for working from home on a hybrid basis once you’re up & running
