Here at Blueprint Recruitment, we are looking for a skilled Electrical Design Engineer to join a leading engineering consultancy, on a contract basis. The chosen candidate will be required to work on a hybrid basis from our client's Leeds office, 3 days a week. Within this role, you will have the opportunity to work on an exciting large-scale Public Health project, as an active part of a dynamic and skilled workforce.

-Competitive hourly rate of 40-43 (depending on experience).

-Hybrid working arrangements (3 days on-site).

Responsibilities:

-Create intricate designs and specifications, for electrical systems, from stages 1-5, for a complex Public Health project.

-Maintain compliance with current regulations, standards, and project requirements, ensuring designs are efficient and promote sustainability.

-Work alongside multidisciplinary teams to ensure all design elements are being integrated effectively into the plans.

-Assist with the implementation of drawings, as-built documentation, commissioning, and submittals, within the construction stage.

-Assess designs for any risks and errors, whilst also presenting mitigation, and ensuring that the project is delivered in a timely manner, sticking to project budgets.

Requirements:

-Bachelor's degree, or an equivalent qualification, in Electrical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field.

-Extensive experience as an Electrical Design Engineer, or a similar position, ideally working on Public Health projects within a consultancy environment.

-Strong understanding of design software tools, such as AutoCAD, BIM tools, and Revit, and calculation methods.

-Solid grasp of current regulations and standards, and principles.

-Proficient communicator with strong teamwork skills, with the willingness to work with numerous stakeholders and professionals.

-Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage and effectively prioritise workload, whilst maintaining a proactive and problem-solving mindset.
