Are you an engineer who enjoys problem-solving, technical detective work, and using your knowledge to make an impact behind the scenes?

Join a global player in food manufacturing equipment as a Technical Support Engineer. You’ll play a vital role supporting customer service teams, helping identify complex engineering parts, and ensuring smooth communication across international supply chains—all while working in a supportive, fast-paced environment where attention to detail and technical curiosity are valued.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Reviewing customer reports and technician feedback to identify required parts

  • Analysing electrical/mechanical drawings to verify or source components

  • Using partial part numbers or images to trace and identify full assemblies

  • Communicating with global stakeholders via email, phone, and MS Teams

  • Managing and organising your own workload to meet KPIs

  • Logging parts and system data accurately into internal systems

  • Supporting wider team during system changes, training, and absence cover

  • Collaborating across departments to chase updates and close enquiries

  • Recommending parts for proactive sales based on machine lifecycle stage

  • Supporting internal improvement initiatives and continuous learning

What we’re looking for:

  • HND or higher in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or similar)

  • Strong problem-solving ability and a proactive, "can-do" mindset

  • Able to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings

  • Confident using MS Office (especially Excel and Outlook)

  • Comfortable with BOMs and PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) systems

  • Understanding of engineering obsolescence and lifecycle management

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills

  • Team player with confidence to own individual responsibilities

  • Background in food equipment manufacturing (preferred but not essential)

The package:

  • £40,000 - £60,000 depending on experience

  • Flexible working (initial 6 months office-based in Leeds, then hybrid)

Location:You must be able to attend the Leeds office up to 2 days per week post-training. Candidates within 1 hour commute preferred (flexibility offered for the right person).
