Sonic Summary
- Kinetic Recruitment is seeking experienced Wiremen for a long-term contract at National Grid substations in Yorkshire, running from June 2025 to December 2026.
- The position offers an attractive hourly rate of approximately £32.
- Candidates must have a valid ECS or CSCS card and National Grid Persons certification, along with proven experience in substation or energy sector projects.
- The role requires the ability to work off red and green drawings, installation and testing of electrical wiring, and adherence to industry standards.
- Applicants should possess strong health and safety knowledge, flexibility to travel, and ideally have Northern Powergrid codes/authorisations up to 132kV.
Wireman Responsibilities:
To work inside internal and external panels, including but not limited to, any other type of marshalling kiosks'
The ability to work off "red" & "green" drawings within old relay panels
Installation, termination, and testing of electrical wiring and cables
Ensuring all work meets industry standards and project specifications
Collaborating with site managers, engineers, and other trades
Wireman Requirements:
Valid ECS or CSCS card (essential)
National Grid Persons certification (essential)
Proven experience as a Wireman, ideally within substation, industrial, or energy sector projects
Northern Powergrid codes/ authorisations up to 132kV
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong understanding of health and safety standards
Flexibility to travel and work away when required
