Job Description

We are seeking an experienced commercial insurance Account Handler to join an existing team. The role requires an individual with extensive commercial experience who is accustomed to managing GWP of £75,000 to £250,000. The ideal candidate will prioritise client interests in all decision-making processes, demonstrate adaptability in their approach, and exhibit an unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional service.

  • Collaborate with Account Executives to serve as the primary risk advisor, maintaining allocated clients throughout the insurance cycle in strict adherence to internal KPIs;
  • Provide critical support for new business opportunities along with timely preparation and submission of renewal quotations;
  • Establish and cultivate robust relationships with a panel of insurers;
  • Liaise effectively with other departments to compile comprehensive policy information, ensuring accurate risk presentation to insurers;
  • Conduct thorough negotiations with insurer partners to secure the most competitive terms for business retention;
  • Identify and pursue insurance cross-sell opportunities;
  • Consistently operate in strict compliance with FCA regulations, and actively identify process deficiencies within the broking team to facilitate ongoing enhancements.
Qualifications
  • Comprehensive knowledge of commercial insurance, encompassing both motor and non-motor sectors, with a minimum of five years' relevant experience.
  • CII qualifications or a commitment to pursue them.
  • Exceptional client focus and a high degree of professionalism in all interactions with customers and insurers.
  • Superior communication skills, both verbal and written, with particular emphasis on telephone and email correspondence.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the capacity to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.
  • Proficiency in Acturis or similar policy management systems is highly advantageous
