We are seeking a Finance Manager for a family-owned manufacturing business located in Leeds.
This role requires a hands-on approach, with responsibilities including overseeing financial operations and supporting senior management in strategic decision-making.
Key duties involve producing monthly management accounts, preparing budgets and forecasts, and ensuring compliance with HMRC regulations.
Candidates should have previous experience in a manufacturing environment and possess strong commercial awareness, ideally being a qualified accountant or qualified by experience.
The salary for this position ranges from £50,000 to £60,000, with a preference for candidates having relevant experience in finance management.

We are recruiting for a Finance Manager to join a well-established family owned manufacturing business based in Leeds. This is a hands-on role where you will take ownership of the finance function while working closely with senior management to support strategic decision-making.As Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations, providing commercial insights, and supporting business growth.Key duties include:

Production of monthly management accounts
Preparing budgets, forecasts, and cash flow models
Reporting on cost of sales, production costs, margins and profitability by customer and product line
Working closely with directors and senior management to support decision-making across the business by providing financial insights and strategic guidance
Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations, ensuring timely submissions of VAT, PAYE and facilitating the accountants to complete the annual accounts
Overseeing the work of one finance assistant
Supporting ERP and finance system enhancements

About you

Previous experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or production environment
Strong commercial awareness with a proactive, hands-on approach
Qualified or qualified by experience accountant
