Castlefield Recruitment are currently working with an industry recognised professional services organisation based in West Yorkshire who are seeking a Tax Manager to join their team on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and dynamic tax generalist who has a team mentality to join a supportive and progressive team. This client is an employer with a fantastic reputation in the market and region and would constitute a fantastic opportunity for the successful candidate.

The successful candidate will receive a salary of c.£40,000 - £60,000 (DOE) and a range of benefits including competitive pension scheme, cycle to work schemes and access to a range of insurances such as private medical.

Role:

  • Working with the Group Tax Director, play a pivotal part in strategic plans to progress and maximise different aspects of tax
  • Take responsibility for the initial preparation of the organisation tax returns to HMRC
  • Review changes in tax legislation and assess how these changes may affect the organisation and advise stakeholder accordingly
  • Act as the lead on Tax audits
  • Take the lead on the analysis and preparation of the VAT returns for all UK VAT

Person:

  • Must be a hold a relevant Tax qualification (ATT/CTA)
  • Possess an understanding of relevant Tax legislation
  • Must have a strong understanding over various areas of Tax
  • Have strong system skills including advanced MS Excel
  • Demonstrate a ‘Team first’ attitude
