We are excited to be recruiting for an Import Operations Specialist on behalf of a global supply chain organisation. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to the ongoing growth and development of a leading international logistics and supply chain provider.

About the Role

You will play a key role in delivering reliable services, supporting supply chain initiatives and helping to retain and grow key business relationships. The role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide excellent customer service in person, by phone and via email
  • Support the client with Import Operations and wider supply chain processes
  • Analyse and operate LIMA, the supply chain software solution, including track structure understanding
  • Complete dashboard activities, including chasers for origin and destination points
  • Follow standard operating procedures and ensure compliance
  • Respond to internal and external stakeholder queries, escalating issues where necessary
  • Consolidate and present weekly market updates
  • Track and remain aware of key performance indicators
  • Support managers and client lead on projects, development initiatives and continuous improvement
  • Use internal systems and Excel for data analysis and customer presentations

What We're Looking For

  • GCSE Maths and English at Grade C / Level 4 or above
  • Experience in supply chain/import operations (ocean freight is preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to build strong working relationships with colleagues and customers
  • Proven ability to manage workloads, prioritise effectively and meet tight deadlines
  • Confidence handling challenging situations
  • Strong IT Skill, including Word and Excel
