Are you an experienced accountant looking for a new challenge in a supportive and growing firm? I am delighted to be working with a well-established accountancy practice based in Leeds, seeking an experienced accountant to join the team in a newly created role, due to continued growth.
About the Role:
As a key member of the practice, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients across various industries, providing high-quality accounting and advisory services. Your role will involve:
- Preparing year-end accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
- Completing VAT returns and management accounts
- Handling corporation tax and personal tax returns
- Reviewing work from junior team members and supporting their development
- Liaising with clients to provide proactive business advice
- Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
What We’re Looking For:
- AAT Qualified or Qualified by Experience with a strong background in an accountancy practice
- Solid experience in accounts preparation, tax, and VAT
- Knowledge of accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Sage, or IRIS
- Strong client management skills and the ability to build lasting relationships
- A proactive approach and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
