Clinical Negligence Solicitor – Leeds

A leading UK law firm specialising in Clinical Negligence is seeking an experienced professional to play a key role in making strategic decisions regarding case progression and overseeing the overall team.

This is a Team Leader position overseeing a team of four individuals.

Moving forward, the team will be responsible for managing all birth injury cases, with an anticipated increase of approximately 300 cases over the next 12 months. As a result, the team is expected to expand to accommodate this increased workload.

Please note, this can be a heavily remote-based role or a Leeds office-based role; however, there is a requirement for you to attend the Leeds office once a week.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team to achieve its objectives and maintain high performance standards
  • Manage all aspects of team members, including people management
  • Ensure the legal and technical elements of case conduct are upheld to the highest standards of efficiency, integrity and customer care
  • Collaborate effectively with other Team Leaders and the Head of Department to ensure standardisation of approach, seamless case transitions and strong teamwork

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified Solicitor or CILEx Lawyer with a minimum of 4 years of experience, or equivalent experience managing Clinical Negligence cases
  • Previous supervisory or management experience
  • Familiarity with Proclaim or another case management system
  • Proven commercial thinking and decision-making in a legal environment
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • High attention to detail

Desirable Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in training and mentoring junior or new team members
