Veritas Education are working in partnership with a number of secondary schools across the East Leeds area, who are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisors to join their teams. Whether you're looking for a full-time role or more flexible, part-time ad-hoc work, we have opportunities to suit your availability.

This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals considering a career in education, recent graduates, or experienced cover supervisors who enjoy the variety and challenge of working with different schools.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver pre-set lesson plans to classes in the absence of the regular teacher.

  • Manage classroom behaviour and ensure students remain engaged with learning.

  • Provide feedback to teaching staff on pupil behaviour and progress.

  • Support the wider school team to ensure a safe and positive learning environment.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with young people is desirable but not essential.

  • A DBS on the Update Service is essential - however, Veritas can assist in processing a new application if needed.

  • Confident, adaptable, and calm under pressure.

  • A genuine interest in working with secondary-aged students.
