  • The role requires experience in demand planning or forecasting, preferably in an FMCG or retail environment, with strong analytical skills.
  • Key responsibilities include developing demand forecasts, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and supporting S&OP processes.
  • The position offers a competitive salary, although the specific figure is not mentioned in the job description.
  • Candidates should possess excellent communication skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

We’re working with a leading name in the health and wellness space — a fast-paced FMCG business supplying a wide range of own-brand products to major UK retailers across grocery, high street and online. With a growing portfolio, strong customer relationships, and a steady pipeline of innovation, they’re now looking to bring in a capable Demand Planner to help strengthen the link between commercial and supply.

This is a highly visible role where you’ll be central to how the business plans and responds to demand — balancing forecast accuracy, inventory efficiency, and customer service performance in a fast-moving environment.

The Role:

Reporting into the Head of Supply Chain, you’ll take responsibility for forecasting across a broad and growing product range. You’ll work closely with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to build accurate demand plans and ensure that insight from across the business is feeding into the numbers.

You’ll be joining a commercially sharp, collaborative team where your voice will be heard, and there’s real scope to make the role your own. If you enjoy getting into the data but also like being part of the conversation — this is the kind of role that will suit you well.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain demand forecasts using a mix of sales history, promotional plans, customer insight and market trends.
  • Work cross-functionally with commercial and supply teams to align forecasts with wider business plans.
  • Track forecast accuracy and help drive continuous improvement in planning performance.
  • Support S&OP processes with clear analysis, risk identification, and proactive recommendations.
  • Liaise with external manufacturing and supply partners to support efficient production and inventory planning.
  • Help manage new product introductions and product lifecycle changes from a demand perspective.
  • Maintain accurate data in the ERP and planning systems (Sage experience a plus but not essential).
  • Provide regular reporting to stakeholders across the business.

What You’ll Need:

  • Experience in a demand planning or forecasting role, ideally in an FMCG or retail environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence working with data, spreadsheets and planning tools.
  • Commercial awareness — able to spot issues, challenge assumptions and contribute ideas.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team-focused approach.
  • Well organised, with good attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience working with ERP or planning systems (Sage, SAP, Oracle etc.) would be helpful.
