Are you a passionate Early Years Teacher looking for your next exciting opportunity? Our client school in South Leeds is seeking a dedicated Reception Class Teacher to join their team from January 2026. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in a warm, welcoming and inclusive environment. This is a long term role until possibly December 2026.

This 2-form entry primary school, rated "good" by Ofsted is proud of its strong community ethos and commitment to ensuring every child thrives. The successful Early Years Teacher will be joining a supportive team who work collaboratively to provide the best start to education for all children.

The class have a high level of SEND needs, so the ideal Early Years Teacher will have experience or confidence in adapting learning to meet a range of abilities and supporting children with additional needs. You will be well supported by experienced teaching assistants and the wider inclusion team.

The successful Early Years Teacher will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging EYFS lessons that inspire curiosity and a love of learning
  • Foster a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment
  • Work closely with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to support all pupils, particularly those with SEND
  • Demonstrate a thorough understanding of the EYFS curriculum and child development

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching in Early Years, ideally as a Reception Teacher
  • DBS On the update service (Or willing to apply for one)
