The Role:
You will join a dedicated inquest team, taking on a caseload that includes high-profile and Article 2 inquests, many of which are Legal Aid funded. The role offers the chance to work on complex, meaningful cases and to make a real impact on the lives of clients during incredibly difficult times.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients at inquests, including complex Article 2 proceedings
- Provide expert guidance on Legal Aid Agency (LAA) funding and alternative funding options
- Conduct comprehensive case investigations and prepare detailed written submissions
- Liaise effectively with coroners, clients and various stakeholders
- Deliver outstanding levels of client service and uphold best practices in legal representation
About You:
- Qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with a strong track record in inquest law
- In-depth knowledge of Article 2 inquests and LAA processes
- Excellent advocacy and client communication skills
- Able to manage cases independently while contributing to team success
- Demonstrates empathy, diligence and commitment to client-focused service
