We are seeking a Senior Java Developer for a public sector client in Leeds on a 12-month contract.
The position offers a salary of up to £700 per day, Inside IR35.
Candidates must have at least several years of experience in relevant technologies and be eligible for SC clearance.
Key skills include Java 21, Test Driven Development, microservices, and CI/CD environments.
Hybrid working is allowed, with a requirement to be in the office three days a week.

We’re looking for a Senior Java Developer for our public sector client based in Leeds on an initial 12-month contract paying up to £700 per day Inside IR35.

This role allows hybrid working with an expectation to attend the office 3 days per week. You will need to either hold current BPSS clearance or have the ability to pass it, and be eligible for SC clearance.

The successful Senior Java Developer will possess proven skills working with the following –

Java 21 (or later)
Test Driven Development (TDD) and Behaviour Driven Development (BDD)
Large microservice architectures
Agile environments and pair programming
Implementing APIs for internal and external use
Building automated test suites in CI/CD environments
Unix/Linux operating systems
Communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences

It would also be desirable to have:

Jackson, JAX-RS, Mockito
ActiveMQ or Kafka
MongoDB or other NoSQL/document databases
Experience scaling high-traffic websites and handling large data sets
