Role Summary

This is a full-time, long-term position starting in September 2025. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality Design and Technology lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential for KS5. The role covers a range of DT specialisms, and candidates with experience in Product Design, Engineering, Graphics, Textiles or Food Technology are encouraged to apply.

Essential Requirements

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • A strong ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, deliver and assess engaging DT lessons
  • Inspire students to explore practical and theoretical aspects of design
  • Teach across a range of DT disciplines including Product Design, Food, Textiles, and/or Graphics
  • Create an inclusive classroom environment
  • Monitor and track student progress effectively
  • Develop resources to support engaging and innovative lessons
  • Provide effective feedback to students
  • Prepare students for GCSE examinations
  • Support extra-curricular clubs and DT-related enrichment activities.
  • Attend and contribute to faculty and whole-school meetings
