Role SummaryThis is a full-time, long-term position starting in September 2025. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality Design and Technology lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4, with potential for KS5. The role covers a range of DT specialisms, and candidates with experience in Product Design, Engineering, Graphics, Textiles or Food Technology are encouraged to apply.

Essential Requirements
- QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- A strong ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
- An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).
- Creative curriculum planning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

- Plan, deliver and assess engaging DT lessons
- Inspire students to explore practical and theoretical aspects of design
- Teach across a range of DT disciplines including Product Design, Food, Textiles, and/or Graphics
- Create an inclusive classroom environment
- Monitor and track student progress effectively
- Develop resources to support engaging and innovative lessons
- Provide effective feedback to students
- Prepare students for GCSE examinations
- Support extra-curricular clubs and DT-related enrichment activities.
- Attend and contribute to faculty and whole-school meetings
