The Role:

We are working with a forward-thinking and community-centred secondary school in Shipley seeking a Teacher of modern foreign languages, primarily Spanish, with the ability to offer French or German as a bonus. This full-time position starts in June and will continue until Christmas, with the potential to extend. You will join a supportive MFL team and contribute to delivering a rich, varied, and engaging curriculum that promotes language learning as a life skill.

Essential Requirements:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Strong knowledge of the GCSE curriculum
  • An Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply for one).

Responsibilities

  • Use a variety of teaching methods and technology to enhance learning.
  • Support students with additional needs to access the MFL curriculum.
  • Maintain up-to-date subject knowledge and participate in CPD.
  • Promote language clubs, competitions or international events.
  • Be involved in the wider life of the school community.
  • Uphold safeguarding responsibilities in line with school policy.
