They are currently seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Psychology Graduate to join their team as a School Support Assistant.
Job Description:
As a Psychology Graduate School Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the educational experience of our students. This is an excellent opportunity for a psychology graduate to gain valuable hands-on experience in an educational setting.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with teaching staff to provide additional support to students with various learning and behavioural needs.
- Assist in the implementation of individualised support plans.
- Offer one-on-one and small group support to students as required.
- Contribute to the creation of a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Help students access the curriculum, adapt materials, and utilise specialised resources.
- Support students in developing essential life skills and social skills.
- Collaborate effectively with teachers, SENCO, and other staff members.
- Maintain records of student progress and behaviour.
- Foster a safe and nurturing atmosphere for all students.
Requirements:
- A degree in Psychology or a related field.
- A genuine passion for supporting the development and learning of children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach.
- Ability to work harmoniously as part of a team.
- Flexibility and adaptability.
- An understanding of the educational needs of students.
- Relevant experience or certifications (desirable but not essential).
- Right to work in the UK essential
- Overseas police check required for those who have lived out the UK in the last 5 years for over 6 months.
