We are recruiting on behalf of a respected cultural institution seeking a proactive HR & Training Officer to join their Leeds-based team. This is a confidential opportunity to support a dynamic HR function with a focus on employee relations, recruitment, and learning and development.

Client Details

The successful candidate will act as a first point of contact for HR queries, manage a varied caseload, and contribute to the development of HR policies and training programmes. You'll work closely with managers and stakeholders across multiple sites, supporting strategic people initiatives and maintaining high standards of service delivery.

Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-line HR advice across employee relations and recruitment
  • Manage recruitment campaigns from approval to appointment
  • Support induction, probation, and performance management processes
  • Maintain training records and manage e-learning systems
  • Produce reports and KPIs for HR and management teams
  • Contribute to HR policy development and continuous improvement
  • Maintain accurate records in the HR system (Cascade)
  • Support internal communications and HR projects

Profile

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar HR advisory role
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and HR practices
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Confident with HR systems and Microsoft Office
  • Experience with online training platforms desirable
  • CIPD qualification or working towards (preferred)
