A leading name in the distribution of speciality and chemical products is seeking an enthusiastic and commercially focused Internal Account Manager to join their growing team in Leeds. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts within the Household & Beauty sectors (chemicals & ingredients for those sectors).
  • Promote a diverse portfolio of speciality products and value-added services.
  • Drive profitable growth by identifying opportunities, converting leads, and securing repeat business.
  • Schedule and conduct customer meetings (virtual and face-to-face), working to set sales and contact quotas.
  • Maintain accurate customer records and activity logs using CRM systems, including quotations, samples, and visit notes.
  • Collaborate with Technical Sales Managers and other internal stakeholders to maximise commercial opportunities.
  • Resolve customer queries efficiently and build lasting relationships that foster loyalty and trust.
  • Monitor sales trends, track performance, and report on competitor activity.
  • Contribute to pricing and quoting processes, ensuring competitiveness and commercial viability.

Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in internal sales, account management, or customer-facing roles.
  • Background in chemicals, beauty, or cleaning products is highly desirable.
  • A proactive, self-motivated approach with strong commercial instincts.
  • Confident negotiator and communicator, able to build rapport quickly.
  • Well-organised and able to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Comfortable working closely with sales teams and cross-functional departments.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle – essential.
  • Proficient with CRM systems, MS Office, and general IT tools.
