Follow this link to find out more About the FCA.Data, Technology, and Innovation (DTI) is leveraging state-of-the-art data & digital capabilities to deliver innovation in regulation. We utilise data science and intelligence gathering to proactively identify and intervene to prevent harm and protect consumers.What will you be doing:

  • This is a hands-on role where you will be undertaking development alongside managing and guiding the development of your team, providing direction and oversight of the technical delivery of the digital products you are responsible for
  • Actively working on our Java and Angular codebase to implement new features and requirements, working in partnership with the Product Owners and Architects
  • Help establish and follow a set of engineering concepts and best practices to ensure consistency and quality in the engineering process are upheld by efficiently and effectively completing code reviews and feedback to teams
  • Assist with Service support during office hours - Identifying, locating and proactively fixing faults
  • Provide mentoring and coaching of more junior members of staff to enhance and improve the team's capabilities

What we're looking for:

  • Technical experience of one or more of the following - Kotlin/Java, JavaScript/Typescript, Angular, AWS
  • Experience of managing and mentoring teams, combined with strong stakeholder management and an ability to communicate effectively at all levels within an organisation
  • Able to establish a series of engineering best practices and implement them across multiple teams
  • Adept at leveraging automation to improve development processes and optimise software delivery
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking, capable of tackling complex technical issues.
