Solutions Architect – 6-month contract – Fully Remote

My Customer seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect to take IT ownership of the customers Commercial B2B (Wholesale/retail) process area, including EDI.

This role will shape and drive forward the supporting technology stack, collaborating closely with business stakeholders to design customer-centric, scalable, and reliable solutions that advance their digital transformation journey.

Key Responsibilities of the Solutions Architect:

  • Own the IT landscape for the Commercial B2B process area, including EDI, ensuring it aligns with business needs and future growth.
  • Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) tools and standards, covering both platforms and message formats
  • Translating Business ideas into technical requirements and owning the end-to-end process on the IT side.
  • Partner with business and product owners to gather, analyse, and translate requirements into robust solution designs.
  • Identify and implement process improvements with a customer-centric mindset, ensuring IT drives measurable business value.
  • Requirement engineering/process modelling
  • Lead external development partners in designing scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions that meet business goals.
  • Oversee solution quality across architecture, security, monitoring, testing, and release management.
  • Ensure seamless integration of new digital tools into the existing IT ecosystem.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of architectures, processes, and handovers to operational teams and service providers.

Skills from the Solutions Architect:

  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 ecosystem, including Finance & Operations, Customer Engagement, and the Power Platform
  • Integration and middleware technologies, such as API management tools and platforms like Lobster
  • Cloud infrastructure platforms, including Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) tools and standards, covering both platforms and message formats
  • B2B commerce and digital supply chain technologies (DST), supporting partner connectivity and transactional processes

The Solutions Architect can work fully remote with potential travel abroad – Travel expenses would be covered.
