In this role, the Trainee Design Technician will receive in-depth training and support to become an established Design Engineer for electrical infrastructure. You will support the team with CAD drawings, layouts, schematics and diagrams using AutoCAD software, assist in the preparation of design packs for DNOs and internal teams, and maintain design files and documentation.

This role would someone with a good background using CAD systems and a desire to advance their electrical design skills. You should have a baseline understanding of the utilities market, be competent using Microsoft packages, and have a thirst for self-development.

The Role:

  • Continuous training and mentoring to become an established design engineer
  • Provide technical CAD drawing support for design engineers

  • Maintain and manage design files and documentation


The Person:
