Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage rent arrears and associated charges in line with the organisations policies

  • Take early and consistent action to prevent the escalation of arrears

  • Liaise with customers in arrears to offer support and agree viable repayment plans

  • Prepare and manage legal documentation and represent the organisation in court when required

  • Ensure all procedures comply with legislation, regulation, and pre-action protocols

  • Deliver excellent customer service and build positive relationships with tenants

  • Use data insights and professional judgement to anticipate and resolve potential issues early

  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure long-term value for money

  • Actively work to reduce evictions and tenancy failures related to debt

About You:
  • Proven experience in income or rent recovery services within social housing or a similar environment

  • Strong knowledge of relevant housing legislation and procedures

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Proactive, solution-focused, and committed to achieving positive outcomes

  • Full, clean UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle - essential due to site visits
