Youll be assessing risks related to property transactions, such as missing planning permissions, restrictive covenants, leasehold issues, and right of way concerns. Youll work closely with solicitors and brokers to provide bespoke insurance solutions that help keep deals on track. This isnt standard e-trade underwriting; youll be involved in technically complex cases that require investigation, judgement, and strong communication.
The role would suit someone from a legal, conveyancing, or underwriting background - for example, solicitors, conveyancers, legal executives or insurance professionals with experience in property or title risks. A solid understanding of residential conveyancing is key, and legal indemnity experience is highly desirable.
Youll benefit from structured on-the-job training, learning directly from experienced Senior Underwriters, with the potential to work up to handling cases with values in the millions. This is a hands-on role in a growing Leeds team thats playing a key part in expanding the companys UK presence outside of London.
