The Role

Our client is an independent, FCA regulated growth capital fund manager focused on funding SMEs predominantly in the North of England. The company manages over 140 million on behalf of public and private sector clients including pension funds, UK clearing banks and the European Investment Bank.

In total, the Group manages 18 funds and due to it's growth expansion is now looking to appoint an Investment Manager to help invest a new SME Loan Fund.

The job:

1. Identification and assessment of suitable new loans to achieve annual investment targets (at a team and individual level)

2. Negotiating deals and executing transactions, including the technical structuring of competitive investment packages to meet the requirements of the Fund

3. Completion of all relevant financial, people and legal elements of any transaction, including management of any due diligence process and liaising with external advisors

4. Preparation of written reports and verbal presentations to the Investment Committee in respect of investment recommendations

5. Post investment after-care, comprising management and monitoring of the financial and operational performance of the investee company and supporting and giving guidance on its operational and strategic issues.

6. Undertake Business development and self-generate proposals, actively promoting the Fund and its activities to its target audiences

7. Maintain losses within parameters agreed

8. Ensure service level standards and turnaround times are met

9. Ensuring all regulatory and customer requirements are complied with.
